Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business

The Application Procedure is similar to that in Manitoba’s Farms Strategy initiative.

  • In order to apply to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business (MPNP- B), firstly an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the potential applicant is submitted and does not involves any fee for the submission of an EOI. It shows that you would like to be considered for a Nomination Application to the MPNP-B.
  • After submission of Expression of Interest is submitted, MPNP-B will select the highest scoring applicants from the EOI pool and then issue them a Letter of Advice to Apply.
  • After receiving Letter of Advice then all your necessary documents within 60 days will be furthered to submit a complete Nomination Application.
  • Receiving the Nomination Certificate Candidate you will be signing a Deposit Agreement that you have to send a deposit of CDN $100,000 to the Government of Manitoba
  • After receiving the receipt of the signed Deposit Agreement and deposit of CDN $100,000, candidate will be next be submitting their original application to the Central Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
  • Further scrutinizing, the CIO will forward the application to a designated Canadian Visa Office abroad that will give instructions on medical examinations, security clearances and on achieving positive results, the Permanent Residence Visa is issued.
  • Upon arriving as a Permanent Resident in Manitoba, the candidate is required to contact the Business Immigration and Investment Branch within 30 days to schedule an appointment to meet with a Business Settlement Officer.
  • Then the Candidate is required to establish his/her business and fulfill the investment requirements as outlined in his/her Deposit Agreement within two years of landing. Once the investment he/she proposed has been verified, the CDN $100,000 Cash Deposit will be returned to the applicant without interest.

Also there is the Manitoba PNP Strategic Recruitment Initiatives, which is undertaken in accordance with program needs and available resources of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. Here the applicant comes under this category who has received the letter of invitation to apply in the MPNP as part of Manitoba’s promotional proposal.

There are other programs to make you qualified for Manitoba,

  • Manitoba Employer Direct Stream, those applicants who want to settle in Manitoba must have work experience of 6 months with a permanent job offer from their employer.
  • Manitoba International Student Stream, for students who have graduated from Manitoba’s post secondary program having at least two year’s length academic session, for those who have applied for a post graduation work permit from Citizenship and Immigration Canada and who are working in Manitoba and have received  permanent employment offer from their employer
  • Manitoba Family Support Stream, in this, the person living in Manitoba, his affidavit of support should be possessed by the applicant coming to Manitoba with other criteria like he/she between the age of 21 and 49, should have minimum Manitoba language skills, has a post secondary education or training program and received a diploma, certificate or degree, with 2 years of work experience.
  • Manitoba PNP General Stream, if you do not come under the above mentioned category then you may be eligible for the General Stream that is based on the facts of age, education, work experience, language ability and adaptability, also with other factors like showing a proof of the member living in Manitoba, proof of completed education from Manitoba or worked for six months as a full timer.
